Child Find Notice
South Coffeyville Public Schools would like to inform parents about child find opportunities. “All children with disabilities, residing in the State, whether attending public or private schools, should be identified, located, and evaluated.” Oklahoma requires that child find apply to all children who are suspected of having a disability and in need of special education and related services. This service is provided to children with disabilities free of charge throughout the State of Oklahoma. The types of information sought may include but are not limited to: Parent concerns, developmental, speech/language, adaptive behavior, social-cultural, health/medical, vision, hearing, motor, perceptual/processing, behavior, psychological, vocational and information gained through observations in the classroom or other environments.
It is the responsibility of South Coffeyville Public Schools to inform parents/guardians of their rights under the Federal Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
